Butternut and pine box inscribed "S.F.W." on the front, Canterbury, NH
Description
Box (a) and lid (b) of butternut and pine bottom. Brass bail handle on lid. Box has lock and brass escutcheon. Ends rabbeted into fronts and backs. Lid lined with heavy paper to which is affixed a print of "His Masters Voice", the Victor trademark. Box has a divided and handled pine tray (c) with a pumpkin wash. Lid hinged with small brass butts and has a brass lid strap.
