Description
Temple with t-shaped portion of cherry, U-shaped part of maple, an iron rectangular headed bolt with square nut to hold two parts together in use, a square of bone with a tongue on either side that ride in dadoes on the inside edges of the verticals of the "U." Each working end is sheathed with tin-plated sheet metal through which points are exposed. The end of the T has twelve points; the "U" end had 2 rows of holes but only one row appears to have been used to hold fifteen points of which nine have been broken off and lost.
