Description

Short blade of square section, straight cutting edge is beveled on both sides. Distinctive octagonal bolster of carving chisels. The cutting edge is now beveled on both sides but edge is not sharp as it should be for chisel or awl, or flat as for screwdriver. Could be used to pry. Handle is a recycled Shaker peg for a peg rail.
