Description
The metal blade of the awl is 1 3/16" long, oval in cross-section, and tapers to a point. The blade is set into a turned-wood necked sewing-awl haft (or handle). The haft has a metal conical ferrule 31/32" long. The ferrule has a seam on one side and a small dimple on the opposite side. The diameter of the handle gets increasingly wider then tapers into a neck before its mushroom-shaped base.
