Carrier handle bending form used by George Roberts

Description

Handle-bending form. Sides and top of white pine (Pinus strobus) with remnants of maple (Acer spp.) veneer shims. Two side and one top clamp bar of ash (Fraxinus americana) aare each secured by two turned and threaded maple (Acer spp.) screws. Form ends are held by a piece of walnut (Juglans nigra) at one end and a piece of maple at the other.

Notes

Used to hold steam-bent handles to shape until set.
