Two sweetgum (Liquidambar styraciflua) bands for oval sewing carrier lids. Bands have been planed to thickness and the inside end of each band planed to a taper. Planed surfaces further scraped or sanded, removing most of the striations left by the planer. Swallow tail finish cut.
