A thistle puller. Large plier-like took with one handle/jaw piece of ash and the other maple which pivot on an iron bolt and nut. Another forged iron bolt is inserted into the underside of the bottom jaw. This bolt has a large head and serves to allow the puller to the lever thistles out of the ground.
