Object ID:
1963.14348.1a,b
Community:
New York, Mount Lebanon
Description

Steam-bent maple oval box (a) and lid (b) rims, each with a single swallow-tail secured by copper tacks. The white pine top and bottom headers held by copper points. The exterior appears to have been washed salmon and varnished over.

Notes

The headers exhibit the shallow indentation around their circumferences, characteristic of Mount Lebanon boxes from the machine production era.
