Steel shaft, forged to about 5/8" diameter and then each end machined to 15/32" diameter to a distance of 1 1/4" to 1 3/8" from ends. A 7/32" diameter hole is drilled through the shaft centered in its length. Subsequently this object was used as a punch since both ends are mushroomed owing to being hit with steel tools.
