Description

Cotton rug warp, 9 epi. Wool cloth rags and cotton cloth rags, plied wool yarns in "S" and "Z" twists. Alternating in a repeating pattern. Handwoven tape used as a binding on all four sides. 1 shot dark brown wool rag, 1 shot light blue wool rag, 1 shot dark brown wool rag; 3 shots plied yarn "S" twist and 3 shots plied yarn "Z" twist (green/red/white and black yarns plied); 1 shot red cloth rag, 3 shots plied yarn "S", 3 shots plied yarn "Z" - repeat for length of rug. Hand-woven tape used on all four sides as binding, has plied "S" and "Z", typical for Canterbury.
