Description

Pine/hardwood tool chest (a) with built-in racks around the sides for saws, files, bits, chisels, and try squares. Removable section (b) with eight drawers. Twelve dovetails on each corner of the chest. Painted red. Ivory keyhole escutcheon.

Notes

When acquired, this tool chest contained tools stamped with "G.M.W.", so the chest is attributed to George M. Wickersham.
