Description

Doll with white porcelain head and feet; painted face and painted yellow hair. Arms are made of a dissimilar, lightweight material and are attached to should with silver springs. The doll's dress fans out in alternate maroon and gray folded pieces of felt. Doll has lace cape that covers top part of body and most of its arms. A lime green silk ribbon sits on the waist and is tied into a bow in back

Notes

These dolls were sold in the Shaker store. The skirt, which was made of scraps left over from cloaks made by the Mount Lebanon sisters, was used to wipe excess ink from pens.
