Description

Rectangular mat with small circles of wool laid in rows and machine sewn onto a piece of twill weave, cream-colored wool fabric, with a backing of white linen. Border of braided strips of wool. Braided edge is black, red, and light blue or gray. The circles are placed in alternating rows with dark blue, red, and back with a few dark green, tan, green, red, and black circles. Twelve rows total.

Notes

Known as a "dollar mat" because in older mats the circles of cloth used were the size of a dollar.
