Forepart Iron or Shoulder Stick. Solid wood shaved on the sides giving the tool a thinner middle. The two ends are cut out. One end has been cut out to differing widths 1/2" and 5/16", leaving a projecting piece 3/16" W x 6/16" H. The other end has two disparate sides. One consists of three steps of progressively greater widths, while the other is cut out to create a similar protrusion as the other end.
