Rectangular basket of black ash splint, Church Family, Mount Lebanon, NY
Description
Rectangular basket with wider rectangular rim. Black ash splint with split rim and double lashings. Fixed bonnet-shaped handle with metal bracing on one side. Uprights extend downward to form open, plain weave bottom. Three wooden cleats on exterior bottom.

Acquired with a handwritten tag reading, "This basket belongs to Office Brethren's Room for Clothes. Return."
