Measure with maple bottom and ash side band. Band ends are feathered, steam-bent into a cylinder and the feathered overlap secured outside with two vertical rows (eleven and three) of iron tacks. Three tacks hold inside end of overlap to outside wall. Iron, headless brads hold bottom in place.
