Measure of oak and pine stenciled "Garden," Church Family, Mount Lebanon, NY
Description
Measure (a) with red oak side band and strengthening rim and pine bottom (b). Side band is overlapped with vertical row of 11 iron tacks outside and four inside to secure. Rim has swallowtail overlap secured with three iron tacks. Rim is fastened to top of side with iron tacks or nails. Bottom was similarly held in place with iron nails (cut or forged?).
