Blanched black ash splint basket, Church Family, Mount Lebanon, NY
Description
Circular basket of blanched black ash splint. Uprights 1/4" wide and weavers 5/8" wide. Split rim with double lashing, arched handle that is 1/8". Base is slightly raised; weavers are in a circular pattern and there is a split upright in the center 3/4" in diameter.
Notes
Small basket that looks like a miniaturized version of a work basket; one of the type made for sale as souvenirs in the Church Family Store.
