Appears to be cherry wood, painted yellow, with brass pins at 9" intervals and a pin at the 4 1/2" position. The first 18" is incised at 1/4" intervals and the inch marks stamped with identifying numbers. The remainder of the scale has scribe marks at 9" intervals.
