Form for unknown object, Hancock, MA
Description
Carefully worked block of maple; all surfaces flat and rectilinear. All arrises are heavily chamfered and a lengthwise center line is scribed on one face. A 9/16" diameter hole is drilled through the center of the block. Top, bottom, and sides stained red and finished. Ends have no finish. One end has star-pattern cut lines from fancy-goods punch.
