Description

Four panel door of white pine (Pinus strobus). Panels flat on outside, fielded on inside. Rails through tenoned in stiles; center stiles are blind mortise and tenoned. Hand-forged thumb latch still attached; latch bar and keeper have been lost. Two cast iron butt hinges. Inside of top rail has two slashes: "||".

According to the donor, this door was removed from the Sisters' Shop at Hancock, now demolished.
