Cast iron pulley enlarged by fitting white pine (Pinus strobus) blocks to the iron wheel in two layers. The sides of this pulley were then covered by nailing four white pine boards to each side. These boards were also such that their diameter exceeds that of the modified pulley by about 3"; thus the modified pulley is double flanged. Bore is 1 3/4". Severe powder post beetle damage; rim of one side partially broken away.
