Description

Grain bin of white pine (Pinus strobus). Corners dovetailed, bottom butted to bottom edges of ends, front, and back and nailed. Hinge rail nailed to top back of ends and back and the slant lid is hinged with iron butt hinges. Interior is divided into three compartments with two partitions dadoed into front and back. Chest is supported by two cleats. Painted or washed red. Rodent holes in both back, bottom corners.
