Description

A hat-shaped object (.1) made up of three face-turned sections of white pine with a hole drilled vertically through its center. Diameter is 1" at the bottom (largest diameter section) and 7/8" at the top (smallest diameter section). A turned maple standard (.2) fits through this hole. This standard has a 5/8" x 11/16" rectangular cross-section tenon (?) extending about 2 5/8" from the underside of a 5/8" x 1 3/4" diameter flange turned and scored with the point of a skew chisel. Above this flange there is a 1 11/16" x 1" diameter cylinder which reduces to 7/8" diameter allowing this standard to pierce the center hole of this object. At the top, there is a nicely turned finial.
