Forged iron chisel-like head with an eye into which a riven and whittled hickory handle (recycled) has been inserted and secured with an iron wedge. One side of chisel edge is flat, the other is bluntly rounded to a curved chisel edge. Other end is badly mushroomed and "mushroom" is canted to the round side of chisel. Chisel edge is not sharp.
