Description

Implement of maple, 1 13/16" thick, turned between centers with a 1 3/16" diameter x 5 7/8" cylinder at one end, and a tapered shape (2 7/8" diameter tapering to 1 9/16" diameter over 4 1/8" of length) at other. A 5/16" x 1 1/4" tapered mortise is cut through the 1 3/16" diameter cylinder and an ash wedge inserted through it. A 9/16" diameter hole is drilled blind into the flat on the other end so that the taper exposes this hole to its bottom.
