Two-door cupboard with red wash, Watervliet, NY

Description
Pine and basswood two-door cupboard with four shelves plus bottom. Doors are pine framed and basswood paneled (two per door) with through-mortises and tenons and a single pin. Carcase is pine but with three vertical basswood board back. Doors have iron butt hinges and lock and active door has a ceramic knob. Top overhangs carcase and has a complex molding beneath overhang characteristic of Watervliet manufactured artifacts. Outer arrises of front stiles are beaded. Cupboard has a red wash.
