Dipper consisting of a copper bowl, nearly hemispherical, with a wrought iron D-shaped rim riveted to the outside bowl rim. Where the rim completes the bowl circumference, the two iron ends are flattened to straps which are tapered and hammer welded together to make a tang. Presumably a wooden handle was forced onto this tang for use.
