Description

Marking jig for laying out locations of holes for handles (vertically aligned) and for ribbons (horizontally aligned) in round sewing boxes. Jig consists of a 6 1/4" diameter base of white pine (Pinus strobus) with two galvanized sheet metal cowls nailed to opposing sides. Each cowl has one pair of vertical holes and two pair of horizontal holes.

Notes

Acquired from the owners of the Mount Lebanon South Family site. It was used to mark drill holes for the handles and ribbons on fancy sewing boxes.
