Description

Wood engraving of Shakers dancing in the second meetinghouse at Mount Lebanon. This is another iteration of the well-known image featuring the sisters in three rows at left, and the brothers at right, with a well-dressed woman seated on a bench at left foreground, and another bench with a top hat and stick or cane at right foreground. On the walls behind are coats, hats and bonnets hanging on pegs flanked by windows.
