Description
Straw press. Two rectangular jaws composed of nine glue and tenon-jointed wood strips. Bottom jaw notched at either end of underside where iron plates are screwed in place. Upper jaw has iron strips attached on top flush with ends. Attached to center is iron crank arm, the shaft of which goes through both jaws and is secured into metal plates on underside. Between jaws around shaft is a spring.
