Description

Long six-board chest-like bin with front, back, ends and top all of single width white pine (Pinus strobus) boards. Interior divided into four compartments whose widths decrease from proper right to proper left. Exterior painted red. Lid hinged with iron staple hinges.

Notes

When acquired, the piece was described as an apple storage bin, but may also be a grain storage bin.
