Grave marker. Irregular shale slab.

Notes

Though the provenance of this piece is not documented, it has been attributed to the East Family on the basis of a description written by Elder Henry Blinn of the Canterbury Shakers who wrote in 1873 that, "The cemetery at this place was not very prepossessing. The graves were marked only by diminutive slabs of flagstone."
