Description

Large clamp or press comprised of two rectangular blocks with a screw at either end. The screws do not match; one is of a light wood and is wider and longer than the other. This screw has a cylindrical head with a dowel through it to act as a handle. The other screw has a bulbous handle.

Notes

Originally used in bookbinding, and later used to press woven poplar used in fancy goods.
