Description

Harnessmaker's vice. Vice has two long jaws notched at the base with a block lap-jointed and nailed between them. Jaws have chamfered exterior edges. Through the jaws is a screw, which controls how much the jaws open. A secondary set of holes for a thinner screw closer to the ends of the jaws. Ends of jaws are cut at an angle and curve inward to meet in the middle. Stained red-brown with remnants of black paint near ends of jaws.
