Description

Side chair. Two back posts have a circular cross-section with an almond-shaped finial at top and chair tilters on bottom. Between posts are three steam-bent chair slats with convex top and straight bottom. These posts have a single stretcher near the bottom while there are two stretchers between the other sets of posts. Front posts are tapered below the bottom stretcher, have a rounded top, and are the height of the seat. Seat is splint, woven in a zigzag pattern, and is wider in the front than back. Posts and slats have remnants of orange paint/wash.
