Description

Shoe last. Solid sycamore block of wood cut in the form of a shoe. Toe is almond-shaped. Convex heel curve, flat top with a metal screw, and 1/4" last hook hole just below the top. Bottom has nail holes concentrated along the edges, at the center of the toe and heel, and across the waist. Outside edge of waist has been repaired with a sycamore insert secured to the last with wooden pegs. Outlining the heel on either side are wood pegs evenly spaced and arranged in convex lines.
