Scoop back last. Wood block cut in the shape of a shoe. Last has a square toe. 2 1/4" in from the toe last is cut into a wedge. Wedge has a metal pin in front to secure to last and has a channel on its bottom face. Top has a socket hole 7/16" in diameter. Heel curve convex. Seat sides curve inward to form waist.
