Description

A cast iron microtome painted black. There are two components to the microtome; one of which is an adjustable clamp that can move closer to or farther from the cutting blade (which is missing). The cutting mechanism is propelled by a cast iron wheel with a polished wood handle. Behind the wheel is a dial numbered 0 through 24. This dial is attached to another wheel which is spring loaded and is secured to the main mechanism: a large cast iron block and adjustable slide.
