Description

Foundry pattern for a rather elaborate stove fire box door of white pine. To a mitered frame of 1/4" stock, splayed sides of 3/8" thick stock with mitered corners are glued and the outside is rounded over. The frame opening is covered by a 5/16" thick pine panel which is glued to the frame. In the center of this panel, a 2 5/16" x 7 1/4" rectangle is created with 1/8" x 1/4" half-round glued to the surface. Inside are piercings. Two hinge lugs are attached to the left door side, a catch block to the right and a handle lug to the right end of the center panel. Painted black.
