Foundry pattern for a stove firebox bottom of white pine. The bottom consists of a single piece of pine 5/16" thick by 28" long, 11 7/16" w at hearth, and 10 1/4" w at firebox. This panel is trimmed around the firebox end with 1/4" x 1/2" strips to create a lip on the upper side. Another piece of trim 1/4" x 11/32" is braded across the panel to divide the firebox from the hearth. The hearth is rectangular with rounded corners on front end. A molding 9/32" x 1 3/16" is glued around the front and sides of the hearth and relieved in the form of a broad chamfer.
