Candlesnuffer
Candle snuffer, Canterbury, NH
Description
A candlesnuffer and wick trimmer with the appearance of cutting shears. The snuffer has two fingerholds at the end with a stub on each outside edge of the holds. The snuffer opens when the fingerholds are pulled apart. There is a central fastener/spring that allows the movement. Just below the fastener is the widened key-hole shaped snuffer. The top piece of the snuffer is a thin metal blade which sits in the bottom of the snuffer well when the fingerholds are set together. Below the end of the snuffer is another stub. Together, the three stubs, create and integral stand for the candlesnuffer. The end of the candlesnuffer tapers exponentially to a point.
