Description

A brass wick holder. The wick holder is circular with two tiers. The top tier is cut around the edge giving it a petal-like appearance. At the center is a rectangular cut-out across the center of the dome. The top tier is connected to the bottom tier by four arms. The bottom tier is a perforated dome with a flat edge and semi-circular petals that hang down from the edge. Through the cut-out at top there is an oval stem at center, which continues through the bottom tier and the circular, threaded, base. Extending through the sides of the base is a small brass rod, which, when turned, progresses the wick upward by the wick catching the three gear-like spokes. The other end of the small rod has a small, thin disk, for turning.
