Woven wool material in a "S&Z" twist. Plied yarns. Overall effect looks like a flame stitch. Pad was at one time bound along all four edges. Binding is now missing - where the material was under binding and underside it is brightly colored purple/red/green/blue. The top of the cushion has faded to an olive green/gold/red/blue.
