Stand for swift consisting of a T-shaped base of oak, the bottom of the T through mortised in the cross piece. A turned cherry standard is through-mortised in the T bottom. This standard terminates with an iron pin drived into the standard and a sewing thimble with the top cut out serves as a ferrule.
