Maple uprights are drilled through to support eight between-centers turned ash rungs. Uprights are uniform thickness but taper in width from 3 1/8" to 2" from bottom to top. Rung diameter is 7/8". Ladder width tapers from 17 3/4" to 9 1/2" from bottom to top. Ladder originally painted dark color.
