Description

Birch block tapered in thickness and depth to minimum at handle end. An elongated hole (1" w x 2" d) is cut through large end by drilling two 1" diameter holes 1" apart and chisling out the waste between. A 1 1/2" in diameter x 5 1/8" handle turned from birch stock in-the-round is fitted to a 1" diameter hole and pinned at the small end. Edges of block are chamfered on handle side.
