Description
A cast steel fabric punch with a semi-circular cutting edge. The cutting edge grows in width for 2 5/16". On the flat edge side of the cutter and the opposite side have the two arms of the cast handle secured. The arms have a central cylindrical handle which grows to a diameter of 1 1/16" The metal is polished.
Notes
It was probably used in the production of poplarware needle cases, either to cut the woven poplar chips to shape or to cut the fabric leaves.
