Boot last carved of maple (Acer spp.) in three parts, but is incomplete. There was at least one more component originally. (.1) forms the front of the boot leg; (.2) forms more of the two boot sides; (.3) forms the boot toe. Missing is the boot back. Shallow tongue on back of .1 fits into shallow dado in (.2). (.3) dovetails into (.1) at bottom and is stopped by a brass plate attached to (.1). No finish.
