Rounder plane
Description
Rounder plane for approximately 5" diameter cylinder consisting of a between-centers turned and sawn block of maple with a steel cutter iron held in place by two square head bolts that screw into two square captured nuts in housing. The infeed hole diameter is around 7" and tapers to approximately 5 3/16" diameter at exit. The infeed side has an iron ring screwed to the face with eight flat-head wood screws. The outfeed face has four screw holes around it but whatever was attached is no longer with rounder. The body of the rounder was turned with a cylindrical handle 2 1/4" to 2 5/16" diameter on either end.
